We couldn't think of a more appropriate way to say good-bye than with a party, and what's a party without a live band, a live band that really knows how to have a good time, and have proven it for almost
50 years! We decided that the only proper way to end an evening concluding a symposium that talks about longevity and staying power was to have a band of the most seasoned musicians we could find who have seen it all and still can rock the house. If you've
registered for the Symposium Shake-Up, from 9:30 PM to 12:30 AM, after the
Saturday Farewell Dinner at the Lister Center Wildrose Ballroom (see
Map), you'll be able to hear that these guys still have the fire and their talents have only sweetened with time as they make the energy roll off the stage just like it did in the clubs, school gymnasiums and beach halls when rock and roll was new.

The Classics are an
eight piece band that plays
rock and roll and
rhythm and blues in fine style. They are one of the most popular groups in the area and after you see them you'll know why. Consumate professionals, the members of the band have opened for, or shared the stage with the likes of The Guess Who, Roy Orbison, David Clayton Thomas of Blood Sweat and Tears, Tommy Banks, Bobby Curtola, Don Williams and The Fireballs, to name only a few.
So kick up your heels and enjoy yourself having fun listening to tunes from the glory days played live by guys who have got the chops. Spend an evening remembering the enjoyment of the past as we end a ground-breaking gathering that focuses on hope for the future. We're certain you'll have a night that you'll never forget.
Note: Non-alcoholic refreshments are available at no cost. A cash bar will be available for the purchase of alcoholic beverages. Please don't drink and drive.
